Liverpool wants two important players for the next season. The Guardian claim Rodgers has identified Xherdan Shaqiri as the next piece in his attacking puzzle. Shaqiri has failed to really ignite his career to the level expected at Bayern. Having moved to Bayern for €11.6m two seasons ago, his value certainly hasn’t increased a great deal, indeed Liverpool should be confident of getting Shaqiri at a cut-price if they do decide to table a bid. Rodgers to be interested also Ryan Bertrand, who spent last season on a promising loan at Aston Villa from Chelsea.
